New Activities:
1. Faluhd Castle is now fully explorable.
2. Gygas Arena fights now go up to 90.
3. New rewards in Hide & Kupo Seek if you've won at least 30 times.
Ami Changes:
1. Increased damage of Cave In, Cleansweep, Flamethrower, Goblin Punch, Laser Beam, and Storm Breath.
UPRC's Notes: I felt that Ami could lag behind the other offensive casters, so her damaging spells were given a damage boost. Her starting abilities will now be significantly stronger in the early game when she joins, and should remain quite strong for the rest of the game as long as you don't ignore her magic stat entirely.
Bosche Changes:
1. Attack command now also inflicts additional damage based on luck stat.
2. All healing abilities used via Procure command have received increased healing, but the healing now disperses evenly across the party members.
UPRC's Notes: Luck is technically Bosche's main stat, as many of his heals scale off of it. I wanted to make luck even more impactful as well, so his physical damage from bows will factor his luck into the damage formula as well. His healing was also changed because, even though the amount he can heal for is heavily reliant on RNG, he could still often outpace every other healer if the player is lucky. The healing total is now dispersed over the party similarly to Elina's white magic heals. This will bring him more in line of being an intended backup/support healer rather than a fulltime healer.
Darius Changes:
1. Increased damage of Darkside and Darkwave slightly.
2. Reduced cost of Darkside from 25% to 10% of maximum HP.
3. Reduced cost of Darkwave from 40% to 20% of maximum HP.
UPRC's Notes: Darius was starting to become lackluster with his shadow elemental ability damage. These changes were made to make him a true monster with these abilities and requiring less extreme HP costs to use.
Elina Changes:
1. Cure, Cura, and Curaga healing power have been reduced slightly.
UPRC's Notes: Elina's healing output against the whole party is now fine with her white magic healing properly dispersing across the entire party. I've reduced the amount each of her healing spells will heal for by a tiny bit just so that she doesn't restore someone to near max HP with her spells all throughout the game.
Jasmine Changes:
1. Increased damage of all abilities.
1. Increased MP cost of Water Rondo from 18 to 22.
UPRC's Notes: When set up for physical damage, there's little reason to do anything other than Pummel with Jasmine. Increasing the damage of her abilities makes them more viable to use in a lot of scenarios.
Laka Changes:
1. Decreased defense slightly.
1. Decreased maximum MP slightly.
2. Increased spirit slightly.
3. Increased vigor.
UPRC's Notes: Laka is a fighter when she's not casting green magic or stealing. In order to make her the speedy glass cannon she is supposed to be, I've decreased her physical defense a little, upped her magic defense (since she is technically a mage as well), and bumped her vigor up dramatically because I've observed that she lags a bit in attack power when given equipment that doesn't necessarily prioritize increasing her vigor. Her attack power will now be comparable to Siegfried's. Laka will be able to hit much harder at all points in the game.
Nobumasa Changes:
1. Attack command now also inflicts additional damage based on spirit stat.
2. Nobumasa will now learn Yasuragi at level 20, which allows him to attack twice at the cost of reduced speed for several turns.
UPRC's Notes: Like with Bosche, I wanted Nobumasa to be able to inflict damage when he is built around his primary stats (which are vigor and spirit). Nobumasa's spirit stat is now added to the damage formula for his basic attack damage. This will also help keep him closer to Darius, Siegfried, and Vahn as one of the main attackers in the game.
1. Siegfried will now have the Shatterstrike ability from Blackmoon Prophecy II.
UPRC's Notes: There was a lack of characters capable of inflicting earth elemental damage. Shatterstrike, an ability Silas used in Blackmoon Prophecy II, will now be able to be used by Siegfried at approximately level 30. A check will be added in this test build to make sure that the ability will retroactively be added on any testing saves where he has already reached level 30.
Vahn Changes:
1. Decreased defense slightly.
UPRC's Notes: Vahn could pretty much go toe to toe with the best tanky characters (Adder, Brindle, Darius). This change keeps Vahn as an extremely viable tank while allowing the other three to stand as the best tank characters. As a heavy armor wearer, Vahn will still be able to be VERY tanky if you want him to be, and this doesn't really hinder his defense a great deal.
Vera Changes:
1. Decreased maximum MP very slightly.
UPRC's Notes: This version of Vera is the strongest she has ever been in any Blackmoon Prophecy game. She's being continually adjusted so that she can't just spam OP damage every single turn for long periods of time.
Summoning Overhaul:
Summons now have a cooldown when used, so the same summon cannot be used every turn. These are the cooldowns for each summon in the game right now.
Alexander - 4 turns
Bahamut - 5 turns
Diablos - 4 turns
Catoblepas - 2 turns
Fenrir - 5 turns
Golem - 5 turns
Ifrit - 2 turns
Kirin - 1 turn
Leviathan - 3 turns
Odin - 1 turn
Phoenix - 5 turns
Ramuh - 2 turns
Shemhazai - 5 turns
Shiva - 2 turns
Starlet - 1 turn
Unicorn - 2 turns
Zona Seeker - 5 turns
Fixes and Odds & Ends:
1. Adder, Darius, and Siegfried can no longer equip light armor.
2. Buffed the Combat Gi light armor to provide slightly more defense and vigor.
3. Equipping multiple items that increased a stat by a percentage previously would only take the higher percentage of the two items and ignore the other. I have changed it so that both percentages will be used and stack on top of one another.
3. Increased vigor bonus from Berserk status slightly.
3. Petrify is now set to end after 20 turns if it is not healed in battle.
4. Masonry Vest now resists Petrify instead of Poison.
5. Reflect status now causes affected targets to glow white in battle and have a small and translucent magic barrier in front of them.
6. In order to avoid upsetting anti AI folks upon release of the full game, the regular boss theme is now Force Your Way from Final Fantasy VIII. It correctly loops using actual tags in the OGG file to specify where to start/end audio loops. The looping is seamless, and I'll work on making seamless looping a thing for other tracks that need it later on before the game is completed.
